My husband was never a very big fan of cats and that included our own. It took a LOT of talking into for him to let me have Ninja, our current cat of 4+ years.

And once they both figured that they were stuck with one another, Dave decided to be the one to try to “make peace” and be friends. When trying to play with her, Dave would always get scratched hard (on accident of course) and when traveling with her, she would always pounce on him in the stomach and scare the crap out of him in the middle of the night. It just drove him nuts!

So while I was away for a few days, Dave discovered the light… the light being Fancy Feast cat food. Yes, fancy feast IS the ultimate way to a cat’s heart (kind of like how chocolate or any junk food is to ours!). She didn’t get an ounce of hard food while I was away for a few days and when I came home… they were the BEST of friends. Cuddling on the couch watching movies together, and she began sleeping on HIS side of the bed!

Little to say, I had to fancy feast her a little too just to let her know I could do it too and even out the game again! So if you’re getting the cold shoulder… a bribe of fancy feast works darn well when you are the source.

If you’re interested to know about why wet food is actually super healthy for your cat (not necessarily Fancy Feast, though), check out these articles:

Cat info from a vet

Why canned food

By the way, this isn’t a recommendation of changing your cat’s real diet over to Fancy Feast. My vet told me it’s actually not made of great ingredients and is really the equivalent to junk food. Moderation is key or find a healthier alternative!
